Eligibility and Rules:  The regatta will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing (2013-2016), Scantlings of the NCESA, and the Sailing Instructions.  Yachts must display the Active Owner NCESA Membership sticker as described in the Scantlings.  Eligible yachts must enter by completing the Entry Form, which will be available at registration.

 

Racing and Courses:  There will be two fleets, Gold and Silver, entry in either by competitor’s choice.  Both fleets will sail together.  Windward-leeward courses will be sailed with the option of a downwind finish.  There will be a maximum of 5 races sailed.

 

 Scoring:  The low point system, Appendix A2 of The Racing Rules of Sailing, will be used. No throw outs will be allowed.

 

Schedule:  All times Eastern Daylight Saving Time

Friday June 6th Arrivals Welcome all day
Tune-up Sailing All day
Regatta Registration & Welcome Reception 6-9 pm
Saturday June 7th   Regatta Registration & Continental Breakfast 8-9:30 am
Competitor’s meeting & 1 hr Harbor Gun 9:30 am
Start of 1st race, 3 races, Sack Lunches provided 10:30 am

                                        Après racing refreshments TBD
Dinner Party at the Wawasee Yacht Club 7:30 pm

Sunday June 8th  Harbor Gun 9:00 am
Start of 1st race, subsequent race(s) to follow 10:00 am
No race to start after 1:00 pm
Lunch and Awards to follow racing

 

Awards:  Trophies will be awarded to the top five (5) Gold Fleet Yachts and the top three (3) Silver Fleet Yachts.

 

Fees:  $120.00 includes, racing, trophies, Saturday and Sunday continental breakfast and sack lunch for Skipper and crew, Friday welcome reception, and beverages all weekend (beer on tap and soft drinks).  Dinner tickets for Saturday night dinner available for purchase at registration.

 

Lodging:  Our goal is to fulfill all competitor requests for local housing with WYC friends and family.
