NOTICE OF RACE
1 RULES
The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing 2013-2016, the prescriptions of the United States Sailing Association and the National Class E-Scow association except those modified by the Sailing Instructions or this Notice of Race.
2 ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY
2.1 The regatta is open to all boats of the E-Scow class as defined in the National Class E-Scow Association
2.2 Eligible boats must enter by registering on-line at Yachtscoring. Please register as early as you can to help the host club plan for Continental breakfast and BBQ dinner on Saturday. Registration must be complete before the Skippers meeting on Friday July 29 at 11:30 am.
2.3 All boats entered must have a current annual National Class E Scow Association boat sticker attached to the transom according to the E-Scow scantling rules.
3 FEES
3.1 Registration fees: $175 includes 3 Saturday dinner tickets. Fee includes:
Beer after racing on Friday
Continental breakfast Saturday and Sunday
BBQ dinner under the tent on Summerset Pointe Saturday evening, cash bar
$25 Late Fee after July 1st.
3.2 Other fees: Additional dinners may be purchased for $25 each.

4.4 The scheduled time of the warning signal is:

5 SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
Sailing Instructions will be available at the regatta check-in desk.
6 VENUE
6.1 All racing will be in the Southeastern end of Lake Charlevoix, near Boyne City, Michigan.
6.2 Regatta will be wet sailed with boats tied bow to the inside of a 10’ breakwater. Please come prepared with a meaningful anchor, 100’ line and a float. We may not need to use them; it’ll depend solely on how many competitors we have attending.

7 THE COURSES
The courses will be Windward-Leeward with an option to finish downwind when back-to-back races are being held
8 PENALTY SYSTEM
Rule 44.1 is changed so that the Two-Turns Penalty is replaced by the One-Turn Penalty.
9 SCORING
9.1 Three (3) races are required to be completed to constitute a regatta.
9.2 No throw-out races.
10 RADIO COMMUNICATION
10.1 Except in an emergency, a boat shall neither make radio transmissions while racing nor receive radio communications not available to all boats. This restriction also applies to mobile telephones.
10.2 The Race Committee will use VHF radio to communicate to the competitors. Communication channel will be provided at the skippers meeting on Friday, July 29, 2016 11:30 am.
11 PRIZES
Prizes will be given to the top three places.
12 DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY
Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See rule 4, Decision to Race. The organizing authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta.
