2014 Eastern Champs - registration Info

Published on 7/15/2014

Hi all,

First of all, thanks to those of you who have already registered and made plans for attending this year's E Scow Easterns.  The numbers suggest we'll have the biggest fleet for this regatta in probably 35 years.  But to achieve that, we need some of the rest of you to complete your registrations.  Particularly from BBYRA and Lake Chautauqua please, where we see several have not yet registered.  We've received entries from all of the Eastern fleets, as well from South Carolina, Pewaukee and Western Michigan. That's fantastic. But it sure helps our planning to know as far in advance who and how many are coming.

You can register online at... http://www.e-scow.org/content.aspx?page_id=22&club_id=180842&module_id=149941.  Please take that opportunity to purchase your meal packages and regatta apparel too.

A couple points about our preparations at Seaside.  We've installed a second hoist.  And we've mapped out our property to be able to handle all comers (well, up to 47 boats at least).  And we've got some great (and affordable) meals planned, with a great band for Friday night too.  So please get those old tired pre-conceived notions out of your heads about whether we can pull this off.  The Cedar Creek sailing area of lower Barnegat Bay that we'll use is on par with Little Egg (or at least a close second).  And you'll enjoy it all the more being based at Seaside.  Especially with the post-race "hoist" kegs sponsored by Colie Sailmakers and the Bilgeboarders.

One other little deadline to consider.  Our regatta gear provider, Coral Reef Sailing Apparel, has a deadline of July 16th (that's tomorrow!) for any pre-orders.  This is the best way to ensure you'll get the size/style/colors or custom embroidery team gear you may want for this regatta.  You can link to their site from the NCESA website registration page, or directly via:
http://www.coralreefsailing.com/index.php/catalog/category/view/s/e-scow-eastern-championship/id/1374/?___store=esec.  In addition to the embroidered gear that CRSA is offering via pre-order, they will be onsite at the regatta with a large variety of silkscreened tee shirts and technical apparel.

Looking forward to seeing you all just 16 days from now.

Any questions, feel free to contact me by phone (848-448-0885) or email (edv@comcast.net)

Best regards,
