Home2017 COLIE BILGEBOARDER REGATTA

2017 Colie Bilgeboarder Regatta

After a lot of soul searching, we decided to cancel the Colie Regatta last weekend. It was becoming a bit much for me and others to pull this day together yet again this year, and the sense was our local fleets might wish a break in an otherwise full spring regatta lineup.  So, INSTEAD, the Colie family will be dedicating a Runyon Colie Perpetual Trophy that will be raced for on MYC BBYRA race day (this year, that's Saturday July 8th).  That day will now be one very special day for Barnegat Bay E Scows.  The first morning race will be for the O'Malley Trophy.  Then the first afternoon race will be for the Bilgeboarder Trophy.  Then the last afternoon race will be for the Runyon Colie Trophy.  The A Cats meanwhile will be racing for the Louise Edgar Colie Trophy, in memory of Runnie's mother.  And after all that, MYC and the Bilgeboarders will be ramping up the post-race party to a higher level than past years, to cap off a truly special day for all.

Please have the Colie Regatta (June 11th) taken down off the NCESA website.

Thanks.
